Bear’s House
Sound of Rum unplugged again last night. This time at the Albany, under Polarbear’s roof. As usual, the night was put together very nicely. Kwake was there with some more unstoppable beats.
David J, messing with your mind, as always…
all that, plus a collaborative poem and John Berkavitch live via satellite link up from Cambodia, projected onto the wall, retelling his version of Kate’s “Cannibal Kids” — “Cambo Kids”. Deep.
We played three tunes – and we recorded the whole thing. Look out for a free acoustic EP, available to download here soon…
This month we’ll be mixing tracks for the album. Yesterday we were at Alaska studio with Bob Earland on the desk. Got some nice rough mixes down, one potential album track and one possible B-Side. Album is sounding tight.
…yes that is a microphone pointing at a tape deck…
Huw Stephens Introducing
Played a half hour set last night at the Social at Huw Stephen’s monthly “Introducing”.
It was the first outing for PedalBoard Mark IV! Now with added table.
Heading down to Alaska studio today to mix another track for the album. Today’s track features a very special guest… It’s definitely all coming together now! Should have finished mixes of most of the tunes by the end of this month! Will keep you posted.
The Windmill
Played a great unplugged set at the Windmill in Brixton last night. Was the third outing for our so acoustic set up. It was interesting to play acoustic in the headline slot at a venue that is traditionally quite loud. I think it worked. If anyone has any videos or pictures, upload them and let us know – info@soundofrum.com – Cheers to everyone who came down.
