Rumplugged weekend…

Played two great gigs on the weekend. The first was in Chester in a church, then Birmingham in a Custard Factory. We used the two gigs as an opportunity to try out our new acoustic set, code name: “Rumplugged”.

With a very minimal drum kit and just one guitar amp, using no guitar loops and playing at a quiet enough volume that Kate doesn’t necesarily need a microphone, the acoustic set is opening up a whole new dynamic for us.

In fact, we’re enjoying it so much that we’re going to play acoustic again tonight at the Windmill!

We’ll let you know how it goes.

next acoustic gig: tonight @ the windmill in brixton

next electric gig: tuesday 8th june @ the social

Sound of Rum Acoustic

Last night we were invited to play unplugged in a Hampstead living room! Check out the website, the night is called Songs from a Room. It was really interesting for us to play acoustic versions of our songs. Especially as our live set up is getting bigger and bigger, it was refreshing to go back to basics and just play the key parts of each arrangement.
