Bestival, and relax!
From our first gig at Glastonbury at Strummerville on Thursday night to our last gig at Bestival at Ink City on Sunday, the festival season this year has been our best one yet! Though we’ve had some low moments, particularly when Ferry’s entire tent was stolen at Secret Garden, with everything in it, we’ve loved it throughout!
Thanks Bestival for being such a great finale! It was great for us to see so many of you in the crowds at Chai Wallah on Friday and the Big Top, Polka Tent and Sailor Jerry’s Ink City on Sunday. Apologies to anyone who came over to the Bimble Inn on Sunday at 7:45, we’d had to cancel earlier that day.
…and with that, the festival season comes to a close! Thankyou to everyone who’s been with us in the van throughout the summer, (Chopin Clan you know who you are), but more importantly thanks to everyone who watched us busking or caught our sets at Glastonbury, Secret Garden, Latitude, Boomtown Fair, Camp Bestival, Big Chill, Standon Calling, Aeon, Shambala, Electric Picnic and Bestival!
Here’s to Festivals 2011!
Bestival
This Weekend: BESTIVAL!
Friday 8:45 Chai Wallah,
Sunday 11:20am Big Top,
Sunday 7:00pm Bimble Inn,
Sunday 11:45pm Sailor Jerry Tent.
also, listen out to Bestival radio for a surprise appearance!
Lectric Picnic
Massive thanks to everyone who saw our sets at the Word tent this weekend! We love playing in Ireland, we’ll definitely be back soon!
Also thanks to Depa for filling in on bass for us this weekend and to Marty and Declan for having us over.
Homework, Aeon and Shambala
Thanks to everyone who came and saw our set last week at the Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, thanks to Chris and Joe for having us down!
Then it was back in the van and off to the fields for another weekend of festivals! We played two great acoustic sets at Aeon on Friday, then drove straight up to Shambala. Massive thanks to the crowds at Chai Wallah on Saturday afternoon and the Wandering Word on Saturday evening, you were awesome!
and with that, we were gone. Driving off in the dodgy van that only goes at 60MPH and stops working on hills, for a 9 hour journey back to London! (Northampton is about two hours away) Big up to Holly for tour driving this weekend!
Next up, this weekend: Electric Picnic – Ireland
next weekend: Bestival – Isle of Wight
