Goodbye to Festivals + Tour Dates!

After an exhausting, exciting, rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable Bestival, we say goodbye to another festival season! Thankyou to everyone who caught our performances at Glastonbury, Fusion, Blissfields, Beatherder, Hop Farm, Latitude, Ben and Jerry’s Summer Sundae, Camp Bestival, Fieldview, Standon Calling and Bestival.

We’ll be back on the road this weekend playing at Southsea Fest on Saturday 17th September. We’re also going back to Germany to play at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg on the 22nd of September, driving onward for a show at the Comet in Berlin on the 23rd. And if that wasn’t enough, we have a date supporting Ghostpoet at Sub89 in Reading on November 9th.

We are also pleased to announce that after the success of our Glastonbury show at Leftfield, Billy Bragg has asked us to go on tour with him! We will be playing all 12 dates of the Leftfield In Motion tour, travelling across the UK from the 13th-28th of November, alongside The King Blues and Akala.

However – the vinyls don’t have the remixes on them which are brilliant. These are available to download as an MP3 package from iTunes or Amazon.

We at Sound of Rum firmly believe in the power of recent retro collectible so encourage you to GO INTO HMV and buy the white vinyl then download the remixes. If you go to the London store you will no doubt see Kate Archie and Ferry in varying states of disguise redeeming every HMV gift voucher they’ve have ever received, including ones bought for each other last Christmas.

Old Queens Head 3

2nd Residency Show

Thanks so much to Byron Vincent, Crewdson, Chester P and Mongo! Scroobius Pip, DJ Snuff and everyone who came down to support last night. Yet another massive residency show! Who would’ve thought it, Chester P telling a children’s poem at our night! Mind-Blowing. Next week: Jamie Woon, Polarbear and Rob Da Bank!
